Tamsin Rogers
Tamsin Rogers is the technical support and documentation specialist for the C-PAC team in the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor (DAIR) at the Child Mind Institute. She graduated from Colby College with bachelor’s degrees in both computer science and science, technology, and society — along with a minor in philosophy.
While earning her degrees, Rogers worked as a research assistant under Dr. Al Madi in the Software Engineering and Human Factors Lab. Her research initiatives — which aimed to improve the source code comprehension process for programmers with self-developed eye-tracking tools — have been published by the ACM and the IEEE. During her senior year, Rogers wrote two theses. One presented an integrated eye-tracking and affect recognition tool for use during software development, and the other advocated for the integration of telemedicine in remote communities.
In her current role at the DAIR Center, Rogers is the main point of contact for the Configurable Pipeline for the Analysis of Connectomes (C-PAC) software platform. She provides user support to both external users and internal collaborators while maintaining C-PAC’s user documentation and general online presence. She also contributes to the testing of high-performance software tools developed by the DAIR Center.
Rogers is a firm believer in the use of technology for good and strives to apply it in ways that make the world a better place. She is excited to further embody her interests in mental health care and advocacy by continuing to develop tools that improve the lives of real people.
