Tamsin Rogers
Tamsin Rogers is a junior scientific software developer in the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor (DAIR) at the Child Mind Institute. She graduated from Colby College with bachelor’s degrees in both computer science and science, technology, and society — along with a minor in philosophy.
While earning her degrees, Rogers worked as a research assistant under Naser Al Madi, PhD, in the Software Engineering and Human Factors Lab. Her undergraduate research — which aimed to improve the source code comprehension process for programmers with self-developed eye-tracking tools — has been published by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Rogers also led research initiatives advocating for the integration of telemedicine in remote communities.
In her current role at the DAIR Center, Rogers collaborates with data scientists and clinicians to develop and test high-performance software tools. Rogers is a firm believer in the use of technology for good and strives to apply it in ways that make the world a better place. She applies her interests in mental health care and advocacy by contributing to software that has a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
