Allison Schmitt has depression.

Allison Schmitt has depression. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Schmitt is a swimmer who specializes in freestyle events and an eight-time Olympic medalist. In her Olympic debut at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Schmitt won a bronze medal as a member of the 4×200-meter freestyle relay. Four years later in London she won a total of five medals, three of them gold. In 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, she took home a gold and a silver. Her nickname is “Schmitty,” and her hobbies include scrapbooking, photography and board games.
