Dr. Koplewicz and Dior Vargas Talk Mental Health in Video Series

July 12, 2017

Head Talks, an online platform for informative and inspiring talks on mental well-being and the mind, recently featured Child Mind Institute President Harold S. Koplewicz and Dior Vargas from Project UROK.

Dr. Koplewicz talks about taking time for children. At a time when screens have taken the place of babysitters, being available for your child is crucial.

Dior Vargas works for the Child Mind Institute’s Project UROK and founded the People of Color and Mental Illness Photo Project. Vargas discusses how mental illness is often viewed as a privileged white person thing and how invisibility of people of color in media coverage of mental health needs to be countered.
