KPMG U.S. Foundation Grants the Child Mind Institute $600K to Support Children’s Mental Health
New York, NY — The Child Mind Institute has been awarded a $600,000 grant over three years from the KPMG U.S. Foundation to support its mission of transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health challenges by providing timely, accessible, and high-quality care.
“We are deeply grateful to the KPMG U.S. Foundation for this transformative investment in children’s mental health,” said Harold S. Koplewicz, MD, Founding President and Medical Director of the Child Mind Institute. “Their partnership will significantly strengthen our ability to deliver evidence-based care and expand our reach to more families who desperately need these services. When we remove barriers to mental health care, we give children the tools they need not just to overcome challenges, but to reach their full potential.”
The grant will provide general funding to support the Child Mind Institute’s programs, research, and initiatives that aim to advance understanding and treatment of child and adolescent mental health conditions.
The KPMG U.S. Foundation’s support reflects the firm’s commitment to corporate responsibility and strengthening the communities where its employees live and work. By investing in organizations that address critical challenges like child and adolescent mental health, KPMG helps ensure that communities in New York, the Bay Area, and beyond have the resources to support children and families in need.
“Healthy communities start with supporting the well-being of their youngest members,” said KPMG U.S. Foundation President and Chair Anita Whitehead. “Together with the Child Mind Institute, we aim to expand access, remove barriers, and ensure more families — from New York to the Bay Area — have the resources they need to address children’s mental health challenges.”
