At the annual Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) conference in June 2021, two alums of the Child Mind Institute science team were honored for their achievements. Chao-gan Yan, PhD, received the Wiley Young Investigator Award, while former Director of Imaging Cameron Craddock, PhD, received the second annual Open Science Award.
OHBM is a dynamic collaborative spearheading data-sharing and discovery in brain science, and their awards are highly prized in the community. The Young Investigator award recognizes achievements from a trailblazing researcher under the age of 40. You can listen to an interview with Dr. Yan here.
The Open Science Award celebrates a visionary in the effort to effect a culture change and democratize neuroscience discovery. Dr. Craddock joins Child Mind Institute Vice-President of Research Michael P. Milham, MD, PhD, who won the first Open Science Award last year. The fact that the Child Mind Institute science program has produced the first two winners of this award speaks volumes to the impact of the work our scientists and engineers are doing here.
