Selective Mutism 101

As the field of psychology has become more advanced and scientific in its approach, our understanding of selective mutism symptoms and treatment has improved. This workshop will provide an overview of our current behavioral understanding of selective mutism and how this guides effective interventions. Finally there will be discussion regarding how a speech and language evaluation contributes to the diagnosis of selective mutism and what speech and language services are available to help.
