Every dollar raised through the Fall Luncheon sustains the Child Mind Institute’s clinical and community care, public education and scientific research in pursuit of a world where every child has the mental health support they need.
Mental health has never been more prominent in our public dialogue, thanks in part to a number of courageous athletes who have recently been open about their own mental health struggles. As our children returned to school, Ronnie Lott, football legend and devoted father, and Dr. Harold Koplewicz, Child Mind Institute President and author of The Scaffold Effect: Raising Resilient, Self-Reliant and Secure Kids in an Age of Anxiety, discussed how caregivers and educators can be role models for positive mental health and apply scaffolding strategies to support kids as they navigate this new normal.
Examples of how your gift can make a difference:
Provides three children who would otherwise be unable to access care with financial aid to receive a full course of treatment at the Child Mind Institute.
Teaches 15 children coping skills to manage anxiety and practice interacting in a group setting through our Social Anxiety Program.
Supports the advancement of CRISIS AFAR, a Child Mind Institute survey that assesses the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on families around the world with a child who has autism or a related condition.
Supports the development of free, bilingual, evidence-based resources on children’s mental health for educators and families.
Allows 10 teachers to participate in an educator stress management workshop.
Sponsors 12 students to attend a digital social emotional skill-building workshop.
