June 28, 2022

For most kids, going off to college is a major move, not just geographically but also emotionally. They’re leaving the familiar orbit of family and friends and the structure of high school and parental oversight. Therein lie both the thrill and the challenges. Preparing ahead of time can go a long way to helping them thrive in this heady new environment.

This week we’re rounding up resources for helping kids build the skills they’ll need to handle problems on their own and make good decisions for themselves. And we have specific suggestions for those who have mental health or learning issues, to set themselves up for success before school starts.
