Our Care

At the Child Mind Institute we provide the highest quality evidence-based care, tailored to the unique needs of each child. We are committed to making treatment accessible and parent-friendly because we believe that by working together, we can open new possibilities in your child’s life.

Our clinicians bring experience, expertise and a team approach to diagnosing and treating your child. If a child needs to see more than one clinician, we work together to provide coordinated, comprehensive care. If your child has already been in treatment and you weren’t satisfied, we can explain how our approach is different.

Care and Treatment

We know that our work needs to extend far outside the office to make a difference in your child’s life. We work with your child in settings where his challenges occur, and we partner with teachers, pediatricians, caregivers, grandparents and others to give your child the support he needs. We partner with you to evaluate your child’s progress and adjust treatment wherever necessary.

We offer specialized behavioral treatments that were designed and found to be effective specifically for children. Our psychiatrists are experts in how children and adolescents respond to medication and bring a collaborative approach to helping parents determine when and how medication should be part of a child’s treatment. For children with severe symptoms or families who are traveling long distances, we also offer intensive interventions to help kids experience big change in a short period of time.

Science and Clinical Innovation

We want to help children everywhere, not just our patients. Because the information we collect from our patients can lead to improvement in diagnosis and treatment, we will ask for permission to share the deidentified information with our researchers as well as scientists around the world. Our goal is to accelerate the pace of discovery and bring innovative clinical treatments to children everywhere.
