
Azaadeh Goharzad, PhD
Azaadeh Goharzad, PhD, is a scientific software engineering generalist on the Innovation Engineering team within the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor (DAIR) at the Child Mind Institute. She earned her master’s degree in behavioral neuroscience from the City University of New York Graduate Center before completing a doctorate in psychological and brain sciences at the University of Delaware, with a concentration in social psychology.
Dr. Goharzad’s doctoral research focused on how social cognitive biases contribute to inadequate pain treatment and inequitable care for historically underserved populations.
In her current role at the DAIR Center, Dr. Goharzad leverages her expertise in experimental and computational approaches to advance our understanding of complex challenges in mental health care and develop accessible, real-world solutions.
