Carla Mastroianni, PhD

Carla Mastroianni, PhD, is an associate neuropsychologist in the Learning and Development Center at the Child Mind Institute. Dr. Mastroianni provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children with acute and developmental concerns.

Early in her clinical training, Dr. Mastroianni recognized the importance of an accurate diagnosis to ensure appropriate treatment planning and enhance long-term outcomes for patients. Accordingly, Dr. Mastroianni has trained in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings conducting targeted and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for patients across the lifespan. She has experience working with children with acute and developmental concerns in the context of complex medical histories, as well as adults with diverse neurological conditions. Dr. Mastroianni also has experience providing evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy for the treatment of anxiety, mood, and cognitive concerns.

Dr. Mastroianni is dedicated to working closely and collaboratively with families to provide the most comprehensive and informative assessment and feedback experience possible. She is passionate about helping children understand their unique strengths and learning differences.

Dr. Mastroianni has also been actively involved in research throughout her training. Most recently, her research has focused on the intersection of technology and mental health and how to promote safe usage of technology by children and teens. She has also worked on projects related to self-regulation and mindfulness.
