
Charity Mamathuba, MA
Charity Mamathuba, MA, is the country manager for South Africa at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the Child Mind Institute. In this role, she facilitates all initiatives for South Africa, including mental health literacy for educators and development of digital cognitive assessment tools.
Previously, Mamathuba worked as the program manager for the Child Safety and Protection Program led by the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, where she advocated for children on government policies that affected access to social, protective, and statutory services.
In her current role, Mamathuba is also developing low- and high-intensity psychological therapies for NGOs and building capacity for clinicians. In addition, she is working to establish sustainable national advisory, youth, and communications groups while working across the SNF Global Center initiatives to ensure the children of South Africa receive the necessary tools and support to improve their mental health.
