Denny Oliveira Curini

Denny Oliveira Curini is a member of the Global Youth Advisory Council (GYAC), at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the Child Mind Institute. Through his work with the GYAC, Curini has contributed to projects, policy discussions, and communication strategies to better approach youth-centered needs and perspectives on mental health care. He has also represented Brazil in both national and international events centered around youth mental health, illustrating how young people have the power to actively lead the charge.

Curini is also the founder of the Projeto Solidario Initiative in Brazil, which aims to improve psychosocial support in school. He also engages in volunteer work that focuses on the eradication of poverty and scarcity. And as a self-taught polyglot, Curini shares his knowledge with others through his multi-language social media content.

Curini is passionate about mental health, human rights, education, and equity. As a queer person, he believes in the authenticity of identities, and continues to work towards creating safe spaces for all. He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree –and strives to expand his understanding of different cultures and customs.
