Devon De Paola
Devon De Paola is a social work intern in the Healthy Brain Network at the Child Mind Institute. She is a second-year graduate student at the Columbia University School of Social Work.
Devon has experience demonstrating evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with the children and their families at P.S. 092 Mary McLeod Bethune Lower and Middle School – where she would provide counseling and support the student’s social-emotional learning. She has also assisted in conducting research at Massachusetts General Hospital as part of their Resilience and Prevention Program Lab, where she would examine how techniques associated with resilience may prevent mental health issues for healthcare providers, young adults, and adolescents.
Devon is devoted to assisting participants at the Healthy Brain Network by assisting in psychiatric assessments, facilitating intake interviews, providing informed treatment recommendations, and linking them with essential resources. Working under the guidance of licensed social workers, she is committed to fostering a welcoming and safe environment for all clients.
