Eduardo Vasconcelos is the Director of Youth Engagement at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the Child Mind Institute. In this role, he leads the development of a comprehensive framework for youth engagement across the Center’s global initiatives, ensuring that young voices are meaningfully integrated into mental health programming, research, and advocacy.

Prior to joining the Child Mind Institute, Vasconcelos co-founded Young Peacebuilders in Public Schools, Brazil’s leading NGO focused on preventing school violence through a mental health, conflict resolution, and leadership training curriculum. He also has worked at the Association to Benefit Children in East Harlem, the National Congress in Brazil, and the World Bank’s Community Outreach Program. Vasconcelos is a Forbes 30 Under 30 in Brazil’s list on Science and Education.

Vasconcelos is a candidate for a master’s degree in Management Science in Global Affairs as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University, with expected graduation in May 2026.
