Gianna Bolusi, MS, is a psychology extern in the Mood Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in school psychology at St. John’s University, where she also obtained a master’s degree in school psychology. Gianna has evaluated and implemented evidence-based psychological interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, social difficulties, learning difficulties, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Throughout her training, Gianna has provided therapeutic services in a variety of settings, including schools and St. John’s Center for Psychological Services. Gianna is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), has delivered individual therapy and parent training, and has implemented a variety of techniques based on the clinical presentations of her clients. In elementary and high school settings, as well as the community mental health clinic, Gianna provided psychological services including comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess children’s academic and cognitive abilities with recommendations for individualized interventions. In schools, she has led individual and group counseling sessions for students ages 5–18 and collaborated and consulted with teachers to provide support and positive learning experiences for the children she served.

Gianna provides individualized care to children, adolescents, and young adults as they continue their journey to overcome emotion, mood, and behavior-related challenges. She is dedicated to improving the lives of her clients and believes in providing thorough and effective evidence-based interventions. She believes in positive, supportive, and affirming care that will allow children to meet their full potential.
