Student Engagement Manager, Youth Mental Health Academy

Jennie Liang is the student engagement manager for the Youth Mental Health Academy (YMHA) at the Child Mind Institute. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from Tulane University and a master’s degree in psychology from Harvard University’s Extension School. At Harvard, Jennie concentrated on developing programs for youth who have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences.

Jennie has worked with various mental health nonprofits using participatory research methods to address issues such as the youth mental health crisis and building digital communities for people living with serious mental illness. Prior to joining the mental health field, Jennie worked as a consumer insights researcher.

In her role with the Youth Mental Health Academy, Jennie is focused on developing the student internship experience, building relationships with community partners, and ensuring an exceptional experience for YMHA students. Jennie is passionate about youth empowerment and helping young people gain economic mobility, social capital, and psychological well-being.
