Jennifer Matibi

Jennifer Matibi is a member of the Global Youth Advisory Council (GYAC), at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the Child Mind Institute, where she contributes to important global conversations on child and adolescent mental health.

Matibi is also a social impact, advocacy, and design operations specialist at Nedbank. And she founded Nirvana, an initiative that supports inner-city young women by creating a safe space to grow, connect, and be heard.

Matibi’s own challenging inner-city environment shaped her understanding of the importance of mental health, safe spaces, and opportunities for young people.

She is passionate about amplifying underrepresented youth voices and designing practical, inclusive solutions that improve youth mental health.
