Katelyn (Katie) Shelton, PsyD, is an associate psychologist in the Anxiety Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. She specializes in therapy for children and adolescents with anxiety and depression as well as children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), executive functioning issues, and behavioral challenges.

Dr. Shelton has experience working with various behavioral therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Parent Management Training (PMT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy adapted for selective mutism (PCIT-SM), and exposure and response prevention (ERP). She has provided diagnostic assessments, parent consultations, and both group and individual therapy in a multitude of settings, including schools and neuropsychology clinics. Dr. Shelton has also provided intensive treatment for children with selective mutism through the Brave Buddies program at the Child Mind Institute.

In her position at the Anxiety Disorders Center, Dr. Shelton provides individual therapy, parent training, and group-based interventions. She sees therapy as a team effort where growth, learning, and understanding are the main goals.
