Katherine Byrne, PhD, is an associate psychologist in the Autism Center at the Child Mind Institute. Dr. Byrne treats children and adolescents affected by autism and related diagnoses, including anxiety, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, mood disorders, emotion regulation difficulties, disruptive behavior, medical stress, and suicidality.
Dr. Byrne’s clinical training includes autism-focused assessment and intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure-based treatment for anxiety, dialectical behavior therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, family-based interventions, and social skills interventions.
Across her work, Dr. Byrne is motivated by helping children and families feel understood, supported, and connected to individualized care grounded in research. She values partnering with caregivers, schools, medical teams, and other providers to support meaningful progress in everyday life.
