Kristen Wolf, LMHC

Kristen Wolf, LMHC, is a senior licensed mental health counselor in the ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of behavior problems in young children related to ADHD, trauma, stress, adjustment and oppositional defiant disorder.  As a certified Parent Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT), Kristen utilizes these and other evidence-based practices with her clients. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and families who have experienced trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment disorders and other related disorders.  She works with children either individually or in groups, addressing concerns that include building social skills, processing grief, and trauma/chronic stress.  She aims to foster a warm, supportive connection with her clients, while focusing on developing the relationship between parent and child as well, all through the lens of evidence-based care.  Kristen’s past work includes working with children across several settings, including within family systems, in schools, and in inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities.
