M. Jody Brookover
Jody is the engineering director for the Child Mind Institute’s MindLogger product. He is responsible for leading the engineering efforts to build, maintain, and scale the application.
Most recently, Jody led engineering teams at CareRev, a health care startup whose aim is to build a sustainable future for health care workers by empowering them to choose how and when they work. Prior to CareRev, Jody spent 10 years at Truth Initiative, the largest nonprofit dedicated to eradicating nicotine addiction in the U.S. There he led the software engineering group in the Innovations Center, building novel smoking cessation interventions, both as tools for grant-funded research as well as marketable products. Jody’s product portfolio at Truth Initiative included a text messaging platform, a clinical trials management system, a Facebook application, a web-based intervention for people living with HIV (PLHIV), and the organization’s flagship web application, becomeanex.org, which boasts the largest online nicotine cessation community on the internet.
