Megan Jones Bell, PsyD
Megan Jones Bell, PsyD, the Director of Clinical at Google, is a distinguished leader focused on the convergence of health and technology. Her career is marked by a steadfast commitment to enhancing mental and physical well-being for all, particularly through the use of technology to expand access to evidence-based interventions and high-quality information.
At Google, she leads a team of experts who guide and support health efforts across products. Those efforts include driving health-related AI research, model training, policy development, partnerships, and product development for Gemini, Search, YouTube, Fitbit, Pixel, and Android.
Before joining Google, Dr. Jones Bell served as Chief Strategy and Science Officer at Headspace, where she played a pivotal role in the company’s evolution from a meditation application into Headspace Health, a comprehensive digital mental health platform. She also founded Lantern, an early digital health company that pioneered blended mental health interventions integrating software and coaching.
Dr. Jones Bell was a faculty member in psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. She serves on the board of the Child Mind Institute. She previously held advisory roles for UNICEF, Academy of Pediatrics, Rock Health, Nike, and a range of digital health start-ups and health-focused nonprofit organizations.
She is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute Health Innovators Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. She earned her BA, cum laude, from the University of California, San Diego. She holds an MS and PsyD from PGSP-Stanford and completed fellowships at Yale University and Stanford University School of Medicine.
