Nicole Ramirez, MS, is a psychology extern in the Autism Center at the Child Mind Institute. Ramirez is also a doctoral student in Hofstra University’s school-community psychology program. Having trained in several specialty clinics at the university, Ramirez has experience working with toddlers, children, and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and co-occurring diagnoses.

Prior to joining the Child Mind Institute, Ramirz has worked with several schools and clinics to provide counseling in both an individual and group setting, write behavior plans, conduct evaluations, as well as collaborate and consult with school staff to best support the students. And as a clinical coordinator in the Diagnostic and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders at Hofstra, Ramirez facilitated diagnostic autism evaluations, provided therapy in both individual and group settings, and administered services to parents of children with autism and neurodevelopmental disabilities. She was also a therapist in the Positive Psychology Institute for Emerging Adults at Hofstra University and conducted evaluations in the Institute for Family Forensic Psychology at Hofstra University.

In her role as an extern in the Autism Center, Ramirez will deliver group interventions and conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations. She strongly emphasizes collaboration with each child’s team to help families and children generalize skills beyond the therapeutic setting.

Ramirez is passionate about providing evidence-based interventions and engaging in the science that supports these treatments. She is dedicated to supporting children and families so they can thrive in all areas of their daily lives.
