Peter Szatmari, MD, MSc, FRCPC, FRSC
Peter Szatmari, MD, MSc, well known for his work with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), has worked in the field of child and youth psychiatry for over 40 years. From 2013 to 2021, Dr. Szatmari was the Chief of the Child and Youth Mental Health Collaborative for the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the Hospital for Sick Children, and the University of Toronto. More recently, his focus has been the design and evaluation of clinical interventions in child and youth mental health as well as epidemiological work, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Szatmari has over 500 publications in the field and has had continuous federal funding for over 30 years. In 2021, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada for his contributions to mental health.
