Ruee Huang, MD, is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician at the Child Mind Institute. Dr. Huang specializes in the evaluation and treatment of autism spectrum disorder and related conditions, including ADHD, speech and language delays, tic disorders, intellectual disability, and learning disabilities. In addition, Dr. Huang evaluates and manages the medical and developmental concerns that frequently co-occur with neurodevelopmental conditions. In her role at the Child Mind Institute, Dr. Huang works closely with the autism center and is dedicated to building long-term partnerships with families, helping them better understand their child’s strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
Dr. Huang believes that effective care extends beyond making a diagnosis. In her 15 years of experience, she has worked closely with children and their families from infancy through young adulthood, providing developmental and behavioral evaluations, guidance on educational and community supports, and, when appropriate, medication management. Her approach focuses on understanding the whole child, and helping families access the resources and services that support healthy development across each stage of childhood and adolescence.
Dr. Huang is also an attending physician in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Cohen Children’s Medical Center of Northwell Health, where she serves as Fellowship Program Director and trains future developmental-behavioral pediatricians. Through her clinical work, teaching, and mentorship, she remains committed to advancing high-quality, family-centered care for children with developmental disabilities.
