Savanna Kiefer, PsyD

Savanna Kiefer, PsyD, is a psychologist in the Autism Center at the Child Mind Institute. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions — and co-occurring mental health concerns. She conducts diagnostic evaluations using gold standard tools, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). She also provides caregiver-focused early interventions, including Project ImPACT, as well as individual and group therapies that incorporate approaches and social skills support based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). She provides bilingual care in Spanish and considers each child’s broader developmental, medical, and family context in both assessment and treatment.

Dr. Kiefer has worked in diverse clinical settings across the country, supporting children, adults, and families across the lifespan. And in addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to research and clinical trials focused on autism, co-occurring conditions, and treatment approaches — with the goal of advancing clinical care.

Dr. Kiefer approaches each assessment and intervention with compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. She is committed to providing evidence-based, culturally responsive care tailored to each child and family.
