Stelios Georgiades, PhD
Stelios Georgiades, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. He is Scientific Lead, Children’s Health Research and Director of the Offord Centre for Child Studies at McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences. Dr. Georgiades is the inaugural holder of the McMaster Children’s Hospital Chair in Autism and Neurodevelopment, a McMaster University Scholar, and a member of the Royal Society of Canada’s 2025 College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. His research focuses on understanding the factors that shape developmental trajectories of children and youth with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions, with the goal of improving evidence-based interventions, services, and outcomes for children and families.
He is founder and co-director of the McMaster Autism Research Team (MacART) and has worked closely with government and community partners for more than a decade to advance autism research, care, and policy in Canada and around the world.
