Vera Feuer, MD

Vera Feuer, MD, is the Chief Clinical Officer at the Child Mind Institute, overseeing patient care across the organization’s New York City and San Francisco Bay Area offices. A board-certified child and adult psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience evaluating and treating child and adolescent conditions, she specializes in pediatric mental health, emergency care, and crisis stabilization.  

Dr. Feuer has pioneered innovative models of care, including pediatric behavioral urgent care services, and advanced initiatives that connect primary care providers, schools, and mental health professionals to deliver timely support for youth in need. At the Child Mind Institute, Dr. Feuer is committed to scaling evidence-based support and strengthening integration across psychiatry, psychology, and research. 

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Feuer has also led training initiatives for clergy, educators, and physicians to better support youth in distress. She is passionate about advancing access to mental health care for children, suicide prevention, fostering resilience, and collaborating with schools and primary care providers.
