Yanyi Wang, MS, is a data analyst for the Data Assessment, Refinement, and Testing (DART) Core within the Center for Strategic Data Initiatives at the Child Mind Institute. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in cognitive science, specializing in human-computer interaction, from the University of California San Diego (UCSD). She went on to earn her master’s degree in operations research from the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University.

Yanyi has research experience in both industry and academic settings. She began her career with the Social Cognitive Behavior Lab at UCSD, where she conducted video coding and data analysis on rat reciprocal behavior. Subsequently, Yanyi transitioned to a neuromarketing company, where she utilized EEG, eye tracking, and physiological measurement to assess buyer behavior. She further expanded her research experience at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where she was involved in studies on macaque monkeys performing decision-making tasks.

In her role at DART, Yanyi provides data analysis and modeling support for scientific and clinical projects. She is passionate about leveraging her cognitive neuroscience background, analytical skills, and experience with brain-computer interfaces to contribute to advancements in pediatric mental health research and clinical practice.
