For most kids with ADHD, it takes a combination of strategies to help them thrive: treatment to reduce their symptoms, clear structure where they need support, and helping them play to their strengths. This week we’re rounding up resources on all those fronts.

For reducing symptoms, stimulant medications are the most powerful tool. But they don’t work for everyone. That’s where nonstimulant meds come in. In a new article we explore how they work, when they’re recommended, and how they’re sometimes combined with stimulants to give kids the most benefit with the fewest side effects.

We also look at how parents can help kids with ADHD manage problem behavior and get organized, as well as the underrated benefits of exercise for kids with the disorder.
