Program Overview

The SNF Global Center Clinical Fellowship is designed for mental health professionals from LMICs who work in public healthcare systems but lack specialized training in child and adolescent mental health. The program is co-led by the International Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP) and is designed to provide mentorship for practitioners as they deepen their skills and continue practice post-fellowship. This fellowship offers an opportunity to build essential expertise while addressing critical gaps in child and adolescent mental health services in LMICs.

This two-year fellowship brings together psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, and other mental health professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to CAMH training. Fellows from partnering LMIC institutions receive in-depth clinical education, followed by hands-on experience delivering child and adolescent mental health services and training others in their home countries.

Program Structure

Year One

Fellows undergo specialized clinical training at an overseas institution, learning from leading experts in the field.

Year Two

Fellows return home to put their training into action by providing direct CAMH clinical services. They also work to strengthen local healthcare systems by building CAMH capacity and sharing their knowledge through collaborations with public healthcare institutions.

    Global and Local Impact

This fellowship promotes the development of a strong CAMH workforce in LMICs, fostering cross-country collaborations between partner institutions. They contribute to a growing global network of CAMH professionals working to improve mental health outcomes for children and adolescents worldwide. Read more about the program’s impact.

    Investing in the Future
