The Youth Mental Health Academy (YMHA) is designed to cultivate the next generation of diverse mental health professionals — and we can’t do it without partners like you. We’re seeking organizations to host interns for approximately 100 hours between the months of July and August.

By hosting YMHA interns, you’re providing meaningful learning experiences while helping to build a more inclusive and culturally responsive mental health workforce.

Internship Details

Internship Details

In person, remote, or hybrid

Mid-June to mid-August*
*Work schedule set by your organization

16–20 hours/week for five weeks (80–100 hours total)

YMHA interns are high school and early college students ages 16 to 19 across California, including the Bay Area, Kern, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Diego

YMHA pays interns a stipend of up to $2,000
