“Everything was just better after working with Dr. Bubrick. I have not had any suicidal thoughts since. My anxiety is still there, but it is so much better! I really can’t thank the Child Mind Institute enough.”

My child has already been evaluated. Do I need another evaluation?

Yes, an additional appointment is required for effective treatment.

We will review the evaluation that your child has already received as part of our diagnostic evaluation but cannot rely on that report to determine treatment recommendations. Our clinicians need to meet with you and your child directly and make their assessment. An accurate and thorough diagnostic evaluation is the key to recommending the most effective treatment.

Can I have my child evaluated at the Child Mind Institute and then look for treatment closer to home?

Absolutely. We often see children who live outside of New York and California. After we’ve completed the evaluation process, we may be able to offer treatment sessions via video conferencing (depending on what we think is best for your child and the laws in your state). We can also help you find local specialists and/or collaborate with the clinicians from whom your child is already receiving care.
