Camilla Strauss

Data Analyst, Center for Strategic Data Initiatives (SDI); Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor (DAIR)
Child Mind Institute

Camilla Strauss is a data analyst for the AI, Risk, and Contemplative Science (ARC) Lab in the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor (DAIR) and for the Multi-modal Brain/Body Imaging (MoBI) core in the Center for Strategic Data Initiatives (SDI) at the Child Mind Institute. In the ARC Lab specifically, Strauss uses data science and natural language processing [FW1.1]to analyze constructs seen in psychedelic and mental health research. For SDI, her responsibilities include data handling and analysis, implementing and updating data quality assurance protocols, assisting with the maintenance of multimodal databases, as well as testing and evaluating data processing and feature extraction protocols.

Strauss earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at Princeton University, where her senior thesis assessed the functional and structural neural correlates of ADHD in children. This research was conducted in the Neuroscience of Attention & Perception Laboratory at Princeton. Her thesis work ignited a passion for the application of data analysis to pediatric behavioral neuroscience.

Strauss is excited to be part of a team developing modern approaches to data collection and analysis. She hopes this work will lead to more personalized diagnosis and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders for people around the world.
