LaKisha Hoffman is the Senior Director of School and Community Programs in the San Francisco Bay Area at the Child Mind Institute. LaKisha focuses on expanding the reach of the Child Mind Institute’s direct service and professional training programs in schools and communities throughout the state of California.

LaKisha has 20 years of experience in mental health and public education, including as a teacher, assistant principal, mental health director, and school social worker. As a social worker, LaKisha specialized in cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and evidence-based behavioral interventions. As a school administrator, LaKisha worked to build the capacity of educators to create safe, supportive, and equitable learning environments to promote students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being. In all of her experiences in school and community settings, her purpose has been to honor the resiliency of the communities she serves while providing them with resources for healing and transformation.
