Randolph Cōwen

A proponent for youth mental health, Randolph (Randy) Cōwen has served on the board of the Child Mind Institute since 2011. Until his retirement in 2008, he served as partner, managing director, and co-chief administrative officer of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., a global investment, banking, securities, and investment management firm. Having originally joined Goldman Sachs in 1984, he held other leadership roles including Global Head of Technology and Operations and chief information officer. He is currently a board member at Solace, a Senior Advisory Board Member of Bridge Growth Partners, and has served on the board of directors of GTY Technology Holdings Inc. and of EMC. Cōwen sits on the board of directors of Michigan State University Research Foundation and served as its chair in 2023. He previously served as trustee of the NYU Child Study Center. He holds a BA in history with a minor in mathematics from Michigan State University. He is married to Phyllis Green, a fellow board member at the Child Mind Institute, and they have two children together.
