Ross Jaffe, MD
Ross Jaffe, MD, joined the board of the Child Mind Institute in 2024 and currently serves as its treasurer and chair of the audit and finance committee. He is the co-founder of Faro Health, a leading AI clinical trial design company, and an adviser to Intuitive Ventures and several early-stage medical companies. One of the first physicians in the venture capital industry, Dr. Jaffe is a co-founder and now a Legacy Managing Director of Versant Ventures, where he specialized in early-stage medical device investments, helping grow numerous successful medical device companies. He has been active in the medical innovation ecosystem as a board member of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) and the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC), as well as in the nonprofit sector as the former board chair of the Children’s Health Council and of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Dr. Jaffe earned a BA from Dartmouth College, MD from Johns Hopkins University, and MBA from Stanford University, and he completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. He now lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Eve, near their two adult children. His daughter, Jenny Jaffe, founded Project UROK — now the Child Mind Institute’s You Are Okay initiative — which uses the power of social media platforms to help teens and young adults struggling with mental health challenges.
