Tiffany Phu, PhD, is a psychologist in the Gund Learning and Diagnostic Center and ADHD and Behavior Disorder Center at the Child Mind Institute in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dr. Phu specialized in clinical child and adolescent psychology at all stages of her training, resulting in rich experience in assessment and therapy grounded in developmental science. She has worked with children and families across outpatient clinics, pediatric urgent and emergent care, and primary care clinics, with experience treating a range of concerns, including anxiety, phobias, depression, trauma, disruptive behaviors, selective mutism, and eating disorders. She is trained in evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, parent management training, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), the international model of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), family-based therapy, and Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT).
In neuropsychological assessment, Dr. Phu collaborates with children and families to understand areas of strength and relative challenge by using tailored batteries. She considers assessment as a helpful tool to hone strategies for supporting learning and overall functioning. She has experience conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations with children of all ages, from pre-K through the teen years.
