What is Project ImPACT?
Project ImPACT (Improving Parents as Communication Teachers) is an evidence-based early intervention program for toddlers ages 1 to 8 years with social communication delays. The program consists of 24 sessions delivered to both parent and child through either individual or group coaching models.
All services are individualized and billed at the clinician’s standard rate.
About the Program
Sessions concentrate on helping parents build strategies to teach their child new social communication and play skills while also managing their child’s behavior. It provides parents:
- Strategies to improve core social communication skills within a developmental framework.
- A combination of developmental and ABA teaching strategies integrated into play and daily routines.
- Effective parenting coaching and child engagement strategies that parents can use at home with their child.
The program is typically structured as either 12 weeks with 2 sessions per week, or 24 weeks with 1 session per week, which can be provided virtually or in person.
