About This Event

The Child Mind Institute has partnered with the Steve Fund to conduct a study investigating the core issues faced by Black families and youth seeking access to mental health care — and identifying the types of resources needed to overcome those barriers. This study is made possible by the Morgan Stanley Alliance for Children’s Mental Health.

We welcome you to join us for a panel discussion on Tuesday, May 14, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM. We will share the findings from the literature review portion of the study and engage in a broader conversation about access to mental health care within the Black community.

Presentation and Recording:

Topics Include:

  • Cultural/family stigma
  • Mistrust in the health care system
  • How policy impacts access to care
  • Examples of intervention & prevention initiatives

Please Note:
