Summer Program
The Child Mind Institute Summer Program is a four-week summer treatment program for children ages 5 through 10 who have ADHD or need help with behavioral, learning, and social issues. If your family is seeking to jumpstart progress during the summer or maintain gains made during the school year, this program is designed to help meet those goals while also providing a fun summer camp experience tailored to your child’s particular needs.
FOR EDUCATORS
Workshop for Challenging Behaviors
Across schools, the student population may exhibit behavior problems stemming from a range of mental health and learning disorders. The Child Mind Institute provides educator workshops that engage participants in an interactive discussion on how to provide structure and increase positive behavior, utilizing proactive techniques drawn from the most up-to-date behavioral research.
FOR CLINICIANS
Early Experiences and Brain Development: Translating Science to Optimize Mental Health Interventions
Dylan Gee, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Psychology at Yale University, will discuss the importance of understanding how the brain develops during childhood and adolescence. She will also explain how brain maturation is affected by stress and is critical to identifying risk for psychiatric disorders and optimizing treatments. This talk will highlight developmental changes in the neural circuitry that support fear regulation and explain how stress affects this development.
