Holidays are a great time to celebrate and be among friends and family. However, every year at this time, we are reminded that holidays can also be difficult, especially for people who are lonely or overwhelmed by stress.

Holidays can be fraught for families because expectations of great times can be heightened. For some, holidays can become a moment to reflect on how happy or successful your year has been. To help the holidays go more smoothly, I’m sharing some helpful tips to minimize stress and make the holidays more fun and fulfilling.

If you are concerned about your child’s development and would like to schedule an evaluation in New York or San Mateo, please reach out to us today.

Visiting Professor Lecture Series: Interventions for Social Problems in Children With ADHD

Please join us for a presentation by Amori Yee Mikami, PhD, professor and the associate head for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia (Canada). Many children with ADHD have difficulties with appropriate social behaviors, which can be a barrier to making and keeping close friendships and being accepted by their peers. In this talk, Dr. Mikami will present reasons why it is challenging for clinicians to address social problems in ADHD. She will then offer some recommendations and tools for how to treat social problems in this population.
