FOR CAREGIVERS
Supporting Kids With Big Emotions
When children struggle with big emotions, it can have a negative impact on everyone in the family. The Emotion Detectives Group teaches children emotional awareness and practical strategies for coping with uncomfortable emotions in a variety of situations. In a supportive and fun group environment, kids learn to understand, manage, and face the thoughts, body sensations, and behaviors that contribute to strong emotions.

FOR CLINICIANS
Visiting Professor Lecture Series: Interventions for Social Problems in Children With ADHD
Please join us for a presentation by Amori Yee Mikami, PhD, professor and the associate head for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia (Canada). Many children with ADHD have difficulties with appropriate social behaviors, which can be a barrier to making and keeping close friendships and being accepted by their peers. In this talk, Dr. Mikami will present reasons why it is challenging for clinicians to address social problems in ADHD. She will then offer some recommendations and tools for how to treat social problems in this population.
