Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a mental health condition that can make it very hard for children to focus on their schoolwork or other tasks, regulate attention, and sit still. While all children exhibit these behaviors occasionally, for children with ADHD, their intensity and frequency cause significant problems.

An expert will diagnose a child with ADHD only if inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity occur:

  • More often than is typical for children the same age
  • Over an extended period of time
  • In more than one setting — both at home and at school, for example

If you are concerned about your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us today.
