Led by Child Mind Institute Co-Founder Brooke Garber Neidich, Sidney Garber Fine Jewelry has generously supported core initiatives of the Child Mind Institute since 2009.
Sidney Garber’s inspired corporate culture of philanthropy was built on Brooke’s personal belief in the importance of giving back and on our shared vision that no child should lose his or her childhood to a psychiatric or learning disorder.
"Brooke and Sidney Garber’s support has been crucial in helping build the Child Mind Institute into the leading organization it is today. Brooke’s guidance, tireless dedication and passionate leadership have inspired countless friends and partners to join in our mission to transform children’s mental health, and for that we are eternally grateful."
— Harold S. Koplewicz, MD, President, Child Mind Institute
Sidney Garber, the son of a watchmaker, launched his own jewelry store in 1946. His daughter Brooke stood behind the counter as a little girl. By the time Brooke was a teenager, Sidney Garber Fine Jewelry was an elegant boutique on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Sidney instilled in Brooke a love of design, detail and fine execution as she traveled with him to the ateliers of Milan and Paris. Sidney remained involved in the business until well into his late 80s. In 2008, Brooke inherited Sidney Garber Fine Jewelry and today continues his tradition. Today, Brooke gives all her profits to not-for-profit organizations dedicated to children’s mental health and wellness, education and the arts.
