About This Professional Event

Painful feelings are inevitable, but how we respond to them is a choice. Teaching children how to effectively cope with uncomfortable emotions is one of the most important ways we can support their wellbeing and development. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals who struggle with intense emotions and dysregulation. This event will provide an overview of how DBT works by helping children develop skills to decrease distressing feelings and unhelpful behaviors. This workshop will outline skills to help kids reframe their negative thoughts and problem-solve in difficult situations.

This event is an opportunity for pediatricians, teachers, educational consultants, and mental health professionals to collaborate and network to support youth mental health. If you have a family that needs care, please fill out our referral form to get started.

Breakfast, discussion, and networking to follow. Space is limited, kindly register by April 28th.
