Jamie Diamond, PsyD, is an associate psychologist in the Mood Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute. Dr. Diamond’s clinical work has focused on assessing and providing evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents, and families with anxiety disorders, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactive disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), attachment disruptions, and trauma-related disorders. She’s received training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and related therapies, including exposure therapy, parent management training, trauma-focused CBT, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). She also has training in psychodynamic and systems work.
Dr. Diamond has provided individual, family, and group therapy across outpatient and inpatient settings. She has extensive experience working within multidisciplinary teams in hospitals, community centers, and schools. During her time at WestCoast Children’s Clinic, Dr. Diamond provided individual and family therapy services along with therapeutic collaborative psychological assessments to children, adolescents, and caregivers in the foster care system who had been exposed to complex developmental trauma.
Dr. Diamond prefers a person-centered approach to helping patients and their families move towards their goals. She is dedicated to fostering a warm and collaborative therapeutic relationship, integrating evidence-based practices with the flexibility to meet the needs of each individual and family.
