Mary Margaret Gleason, MD
Mary Margaret Gleason, MD, FAAP, is a pediatrician and child and adolescent psychiatrist. She is the Division Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Vice Chief of Mental Health at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. Dr. Gleason is also a Board Member of ZERO TO THREE.
Dr. Gleason specializes in the mental health care of young children and their families, especially in non-mental health settings. In her academic work, she is interested in the early identification of childhood mental health disorders and developing effective innovative approaches to mental health care access. She has worked closely with state public health leaders to develop federally funded programs that offer mental health consultation to pediatric clinicians, early interventionists, and perinatal healthcare clinicians.
