Rachel Hafner, MSc, is a psychology extern in the Healthy Brain Network at the Child Mind Institute. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Rachel specializes in the neuropsychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults. In addition to her clinical work, she has a strong research interest in understanding the intersection of symptoms related to neurodevelopmental and personality disorders. She hopes to use her background in clinical neuroscience to understand how the brain influences mood and behavior and leads to specific challenges faced by individuals.
Rachel has experience conducting assessments in hospital, community mental health, and private practice settings. When completing testing with clients, she uses the most up-to-date, evidence-based tools available to inform her clinical findings. Working from a place of empathy, she uses a strengths-based approach to empower her clients and their families and help them find effective and successful supports.
