Russell A. Barkley, PhD
Russell A. Barkley, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and recognized authority on attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Dr. Barkley served as a Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center from 1985-2002 and later worked as a Professor of Psychiatry and Health Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina from 2003-2016. He then taught as a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine from 2016-2021. He is now retired.
He is the author of several books, including Taking Charge of Adult ADHD, Taking Charge of ADHD, 12 Principles for Raising a Child with ADHD, and Treating ADHD in Children and Adolescents.
